Hi I'm Sherrie

I'm a single Mormon mom w/two wonderful children. I run a small business.Love to garden. And I serve in my community.

About Me

I'm a single mother with two children. I serve in my church and work with the youth. I also serve in my community. I've been a member of my city council and now serve on advisory boards in my community for transportation. I also serve on two non-profits who help find affordable housing for people in my community and help those who need help to access health care providers who donate their time and resources to making individuals lives better. I support my family by consulting with companies on their marketing and online media opportunities, run political campaigns, and help small businesses. Life is extremely busy and I enjoy an opportunity to be involved and give back. I also run a group on Facebook for LDS Singles 45-60. In all the busy-ness, my testimony is my anchor and my relationship to my Father in Heaven and my family are most important.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But each one of us also has to become converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That happened for me during my college years, when I received a witness of the truth of the Book of Mormon. As I have studied the scriptures over the years, I now understand the importance of priesthood authority and the opportunity to make covenants. I love the growth, the wisdom, the knowledge that comes as we live this religion. Line upon line, precept on precept as I live those principles, it strengthens my desire to continue on in my faith.

How I live my faith

I try to see people as our Savior would see them and treat them with love and respect. As President of our Young Women's organization, I am so impressed by the strength of the Young Women in our ward. They build my testimony of Christ and His Church each week as they share their thoughts and in their action. I love my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know I can prayer and that my prayers are heard and answered. I have received great comfort as I have needed it and I know they care for us....each one of us. I'm grateful to be able to read the scriptures and especially the Book of Mormon. I often find answers to my daily challenges when I read. Life is wonderful....even within the challenges, for I know I am loved and guided by the Holy Spirit to find the answers I need.
