Hi I'm Amy Kesler

I'm a busy mother of 5. I'm passionate about playing the oboe. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have five children, two of which have special needs. I love being actively involved with their activities, teaching them, and having fun with them. I am also a professional oboe player, and I perform in several local orchestras and chamber groups. I also enjoy exercising, cooking, hosting parties (especially for my kids), and home decorating.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I can't imagine getting through this life without the support of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the unique ways I can through my membership in this church. I know that they love me and are aware of my struggles, pain, sorrows, joys, hopes, and dreams. I feel that love through the guidance and comfort I receive through the Holy Ghost as a result of prayer, obedience to the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the holy scriptures including the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I am so grateful for the ways it provides clarity and meaning to my life and how I can teach my children in an increasingly confused world. I love the other members, too--it's like a big family of wonderful people who are striving to become better!

How I live my faith

I am currently called to organize service for women in our congregation who are in need. Examples include organizing meals for someone who has just had a baby, or the luncheon following a funeral. I also conduct and organize the choir for meetings of our Stake (a larger group of several congregations) twice a year. I have always been a visiting teacher, which means that I remain in contact with several women I am assigned to watch over and try to befriend, uplift, and serve them.
