Hi I'm Jordan

I live in Utah. I just graduated from high school. I am Mormon. I am serving a mission in Lima, Peru.

About Me

I am an 18 year old boy. I just graduated from high school and am leaving to serve on my mission in the Peru Lima West mission on July 3, 2013. I played on the varsity basketball and tennis teams in high school. I love to play sports. When I return home from my mission I plan on going to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was very strong in the church so I have been brought up in it my entire life. I do have a testimony of this gospel and I know that it is true. Not only because my parents do but I have figured out for myself that this is the only church on the earth that has the fullness of the gospel and is Christ's true church on the earth. This church and living the gospel just makes me happy and it makes me want others to feel that happiness that I do. In our church we know that families can be together forever through our Heavenly Father's plan of happiness. Even when loved ones pass away we know that we will see them again after we die. I love my family so much and I am so happy that I am able to spend the rest of eternity with them. This church helps guide me in every aspect of my life. I prayed before every high school basketball game I ever played in and I just felt comforted after. I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father whenever I need to and he will answer my prayers. He won't always answer them right away or in the way I necessarily want him to, but I know that he is listening and watching over me. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and that he died and atoned for my sins so that through the atonement and can return to live with him and my Father in Heaven after I die. I know that repentance is real and that the atonement is real and that anyone can come to Christ if they will put forth the effort and sincerely repent and want to live righteously and be baptized.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church by being a hometeacher to two families in my neighborhood. I bless the sacrament in church and do service projects with other youth in my ward such as shoveling snow, helping the elderly into the church, putting up flags and helping people in their yard.
