Hi I'm Melanie

I was born in a Naval Hospital. I am married to the love of my life. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up on both the western and eastern ends of the United States. I am a homemaker and wife. I have worked with children since I was a teenager. I completed a semester of Art school. I love working and creating with my hands. My hobbies include sewing, cooking, decorating, reading and creative writing. I love to learn new things and expand my views.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. My parents joined the church before I was born, but I was free to make the choice to pursue the gospel. After reading the Book of Mormon for the first time when I was a teenager I said a simple prayer to know for myself if it was indeed the word of God. I received such a feeling of warmth, love and certainty that I have never doubted since. The gospel is true. Jesus Christ is our Savior. The Lord loves each of us. We are His spirit children and He has given us everything we need to live happy and faithful lives. He lives!

How I live my faith

I love serving in the Church. I have taught all age groups and have especially enjoyed working with children and youth. I also had the chance to learn how to conduct music and serve as a chorister. I have learned so many wonderful lessons and skills through voluntary service. I feel greatly blessed.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Melanie
Absolutely! Yes! I have read the account in the Book of Mormon of Christ's visit to the America's. I have felt the Spirit in those words. It is yet another testimony of the love of the Savior and His teachings. I am grateful to have additional records as well as the Bible to teach us of the divine mission of the Lord.
