Hi I'm Callie

I live in Alabama. I am a Physical Therapy student and I love music. I am happily married, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a lot of hobbies and interests! Since I was young, I've always been busy with many different activities. My biggest hobby is music. I love to play the piano, bassoon, and saxophone, and I have done Band throughout middle school, high school, and college. I also love to draw and paint. Although I am not extremely athletic, I enjoy playing sports for fun and watching collegiate games with my husband's family. I love spending time with my family and friends. Although many of us have moved apart from one another, we remain close and enjoy our relationships. My family is extremely close-knit, and we love each other and appreciate the gospel's influence in our lives. I also have wonderful in-laws who are great examples of Christ-like love and service. My husband is the best example of living the gospel in my life. We began dating in high school, and when he returned from his 2-year mission to Africa we were sealed in the temple. We love to play games, watch movies, and spend time with friends! I am currently a Physical Therapy student working on my Doctorate degree. I look forward to working in this profession, and hope that I can share the light of Christ as I help others recover from injuries or illnesses.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother's family members have been active in the Church for a few generations, and my father was baptized in his 20's. Because of their righteous examples and influence, I happily attended Church throughout my childhood. When I was about 13 or 14 years old, I decided that I really wanted to know for myself if the Church was true. After reading the Book of Mormon and praying about its truthfulness, I found out for myself that this Church is true and have been actively involved ever since. I love the Gospel and all of the good things that have come into my life because of the tender mercies of my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example to those around me. I try to show others the happiness and peace that the gospel has brought into my life. In my current ward, I am the Ward Music Chairman. I play the piano in Sacrament Meetings, and help to organize everything musical that happens. My husband and I also help teach the Primary children often, and we enjoy their sweet spirits. In the past, I have played the piano in Primary and have been a Primary teacher. It is exciting to see kids grow in the gospel!
