Hi I'm Lander

I'm from a small town in southeast Idaho. I love to hunt, fish, play football, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an outdoors person. That is the most simple way I can put it. I love to hunt, especially with my bow. I also love to fish, play football, ride 4wheelers, go on pack trips into the mountains with horses, and I love just about anything that can get me out of my house. I am 18 years old, and I will be going to college at BYU-Idaho after I serve an LDS Mission in Mexico City, leaving this fall in October. I played football in high school, and it has become one of my passions.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with deep roots of heritage going back to the beginnings of the church. Although I have very strong roots in the church, I have truly had a trial of my own faith in my life growing up, facing many moral challenges. However, through faith and trust in my Savior Jesus Christ, I have been able to rise to a path of righteousness and brightness that exceeds any words of joy that I could ever express. I follow the Savior's example each day by living up to His standards(which are our Heavenly Father's standards) in living according to the standards set by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It truly brings joy into my life, and the main reason I live His gospel is because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in lots of little ways. I had a football coach who told me that the big things don't make somebody special, but it's all the little things in life that we do that count. I also believe that your example is the most important when nobody else is watching. I have seen so many instances in my own life of being a great example on the outside, but inside I was not that kind of person. It is so important to be somebody on the inside before you show that person on the outside. I have served in my church with a calling with the young men in my ward that are my age, and it has greatly blessed my life to be able to associate with such valiant young servants of their Heavenly Father. My best advice and best motto for how to live your life is "Be the person you want to be not only on the outside, but most importantly on the inside." That means that you be the good person you want to be in your own personal life as well as in your life around others. Our Heavenly Father is always watching us, so if we live in a way as to make Him happy, then we will always be somebody that is a good example to others as well as to ourselves.
