Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in Southern California. I went to school in Hawaii, and fell in love with spearfishing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fifth of six children. I have three sisters and two brothers. I loved playing lacrosse growing up, as well as spending my summers at the beach! I've always enjoyed camping and being outdoors. After high school I moved to Africa to serve and teach the people of Ghana more about Christ's restored gospel. Following that experience I began my college schooling on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. Hawaii has become one of my favorite places, because of how connected life is to the earth there!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe. I believe that God loves us, and I believe that he sent prophets to teach us how to live. I believe he even sent his son Jesus Christ to walk the earth and set up his church. I believe Christ gave power and authority to the apostles. I believe Christ sacrificed himself so that God's plan could be fulfilled. I believe that due to imperfection the true gospel and power that went along with it was lost from the earth. I believe that the true gospel and power of God was restored through Joseph Smith. I believe we have apostles and prophets on earth today. I believe one day Christ will return again to the earth. I am a Mormon because I believe.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by studying the scriptures. Daily reading from the words of God help me to remember what is most important, and what I should be doing. Every Sunday I gather at church with other local visitors and members to learn from and strengthen one another. Most importantly though, I go to take the sacrament, which is bread and water that represent Christ's sacrifice for us. The sacrament is a way to renew a promise I made with God when I was baptized, that I'd always remember him, I'd keep his commandment, and take his name upon me! Faith is an action, and I am far from perfect but I try to, but I live my faith the best I can!
