Hi I'm Brie

I love art, reading, writing, cooking, and learning all I can about our beautiful world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Thus far I've lived my entire life in Utah, though I dream of one day residing on the sunny beaches of California. I hope to study law at Stanford or UCLA once I finish my undergraduate studies here in Utah. I plan on majoring in Economics or International Studies. I hope to somehow help women around the world obtain an education and job skills to empower them and their families. I believe educating women is the way to change the world, as women become mothers who then pass on their knowledge to their children.

Why I am a Mormon

I enjoy being a member of the church because of its great focus on families. My family is the most important thing to me, though we are far from perfect. The message of the church shows us how we can be with our families forever and how to work together to become perfect through Jesus Christ. When you join the church you will begin to see exactly how everything is centered on family. We are all sons and daughter of God, our loving Heavenly Father, whose son Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we could become cleansed of our sins through repentance and live again with our Father in Heaven. We go to church with other members living in our area, and these people we go to church with are our ward family. Home Teachers and Visiting Teachers stop by our homes to make sure we are doing okay and to assist us in needs we may have. Mormons have a well-deserved reputation for their willingness to help others in their time of need. I never feel alone as a member of the church because I know the greatest brother of all time, Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father are always watching over me.

How I live my faith

I have decided to live my faith by becoming a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My service will begin this August and I will be serving in Honduras. As a missionary I will spend 18 months away from home and family to help others learn the teachings of my church. I will help the people I meet there in any way they need me. Until then I love attending the temple. In the temple Mormons perform sacred works for the dead such as baptism.
