Hi I'm James Lee McBride Jr.

I was born in Nashville Tenn, but grow up in Arizona, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired shop teacher that still has all of his fingers. I love to work in my little wood shop and garden. My wife and I have five grown children, three boys and two girls. Between all of our kids we have 14 grand-kids who are the joy of our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have never as yet found a religion that follows the same pattern and teachings that our savior Jesus Christ established while he was on the earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints follows Christs pattern in all aspects of the church. It has the priesthood, the plan of salvation, and it follows all the covenants that each individual must make to be a part of our Heavenly Fathers kingdom.

How I live my faith

At the present time I have two callings in the LDS Church. Once every other Friday I volunteer along with my wife as cleaning coordinators at the Gila Valley Temple. I also home-teach 3 families in our ward. I however, feel that the most important way that I participate in church activities is to attend sacrament meeting each week, which allows my to renew my covenants with my Father in Heaven.

What is the priesthood?

James Lee McBride Jr.
The Priesthood is the power and authority given to men on earth to act in the name of God the Father. With this Priesthood all of God’s saving ordinances can be performed; ordinances such as baby blessings, baptisms, healing of the sick and the ordinance of marriage for example. Show more Show less
