Hi I'm Macey Lane

I work on cars, I take pictures, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a junior in High School right now. I have a 1955 Studebaker Champion and I love it! I was raised in the church. I love film photography. I love my family. I love the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a personal confirmation of the truth of this church. I wanted to know for myself if the church was true, so I read the Book of Mormon. I prayed. I expected the answer to come clearly to me right away. When it didn't I was confused and kind of afraid. That is when I learned the tender way the Lord answers our prayers. It was never a moment where I just checked the box off and said "well, that's that..." but more of a constant prayer to know. I really grew to know my Father in Heaven during that time. I remember walking down the street and noticing the beautiful trees, feeling the air. I said a silent prayer to thank Heavenly Father for the earth and it's beauty. Then I felt the Holy Spirit touch my heart. I knew that He heard me. I remembered all the times that He had answered my prayers or comforted me. That is the most important thing I have learned; to keep a relationship with your Heavenly Father and to live a life so that you can hear Him. You have to turn down the volume of the temptations in your life, all the distractions, and then you can feel Heavenly Father's kindness and guidance in your life. Now I am facing even harder times. I am trying to decide about college and the rest of my life... but I don't feel anxious. I feel guided by Heavenly Father, wrapped in his arms. I know that He lives.

How I live my faith

I am one of about five LDS youth at my school. I get asked a lot of questions. In the world around me I try to inspire others and educate them about the church through the way I live.
