Hi I'm Jace

I was born in Utah, but now live in South Dakota. I like to read and play video games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read books, particularly fiction books. I also like to play video games, almost any type. My favorite sports to play are golf, football, and soccer, and I much prefer playing the games to watching them. I am the oldest of six kids, and have three dogs. I also like to play the trumpet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, and continue to be so to this day. I am soon going on a mission to Texas for two years, and I am really excited to go. I know that this church is true, because I have felt it in my heart. Whenever I read the scriptures, I feel something inside of me telling me that it is true. I know that if it were not for the gospel, and the church, that I would not be where I am now, and would not be as blessed as I am.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by preparing to go on a mission. I am reading the scriptures and praying daily, and whenever I find an opportunity to help somebody, I take it.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Jace
We don't drink coffee, tea, or alcohol because we treat our bodies as what they are; a precious gift from God. We consider our bodies to be like a temple. When we start mistreating them, it's like dragging dirt around the temple, making everything dirty. Alcohol and drugs are very bad for your health, and coffee and tea aren't the best either. This comes from the Word of Wisdom, which is a guideline for a healthy body, and was given to Joseph Smith in 1833. We eat right in order to keep our minds sharp and our bodies strong, and what we believe concerning a healthy diet is supported by scientists today. Show more Show less
