Hi I'm Colton Coon

I'm serving a mission in London England. I love running. I love teaching about Jesus Christ and his atonement. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm nineteen. I was born and raised near Salt Lake City, Utah and have been in the church my whole life. As I have learned what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches and gained a testimony of it for myself, I have been able to come closer to my savior and feel happier in life. I have now been called to be a full time missionary in the England London mission. I love running. I am the oldest of five kids, two boys and three girls. I will attend Utah Valley University when I finish my mission. I plan on studying psychology at University when I go back home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church but there comes a time when every church member has to decide why they want to be a part of the church they attend. When I was a junior in high school, I read the book of mormon without my family for the first time. When I was reading, I could feel the spirit so strongly and I knew I never wanted it to go away. I made a decision right then that I would go on a mission and do everything I could to prepare to serve it. I have a testimony that this is the true church and that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today and that he receives revelation from God about what saints in the latter days need to do. I know that Jesus Christ came to earth for us, to atone for our sins, and through him we can live with our families and God again.

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures every day. Both the King James version of the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. I pray as often as permits because I know that God helps us in all that we do and I am so thankful to him for that. I also attend church every Sunday to partake of the sacrament, and by doing so I renew the covenant I made at baptism to always remember Jesus Christ, and keep his commandments. I love learning more about God, our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I am currently a missionary for my religion. That just means I go wherever God needs me, away from my family, and other worldly pursuits for two years. I teach people about Jesus Christ and help them strengthen their faith in him or in some cases, develop faith in him.
