Hi I'm Spencer

I'm going to serve a mission in Budapest, Hungary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really love music. I have been playing the guitar for six years and have been in several bands. I enjoy listening to jazz, pop, indie, ragtime and rock music. One day I hope to be a musician.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all my life. Ever since I was a child, I've heard the testimonies of my family members and as I grew up, I slowly began to be converted myself. Throughout High School, I was surrounded with good friends who were also active members of the church. Despite all these positive influences, I recently experienced some challenges in my life that I chose to try to overcome without God's help. I found out that, no matter how qualified we think we are, we are nothing without the influence of our Savior and our loving Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit in our lives. I'm grateful to God for all of the things that he gives me and try to remember everyday to thank him for the mercy and love that he shows me.

How I live my faith

When I was very little, my mom had a cardiac arrest and suffers from brain damage most specifically memory loss. She stays in a local facility for patients with illnesses like dementia or Alzheimer's although her circumstances are a little different than those of a person who has that kind of ailment. I have opportunities almost daily to spend time with her and other patients at this facility that have taught me to interact with and care for others differently.
