I am a 70 year old female. I am the mother of two, grandmother of seven. I am widowed. My husband died six years ago. I like to sew, collect antiques, travel, and hike. I love spending time with my children and grandchildren, they mean everything to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised the church. I have always known that the church was true, but to completely love all of the teachings and thoroughly understand many things has taken me years. I love the knowledge that as members we have and I love the support and love that we receive from the leaders of the church. I know that the gospel is true and I know that this Christ's Church and I know that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet of God

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in North Carolina as office financial secretary. I have loved every calling that I have had in the church. I have also been active in my community. I love this county and have been active in promoting patriotism throughout my life. I have had two businesses and several different jobs that deal with people and I love working with people.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon brings great joy into my life. When i attend church I know that that is where i am supposed to be and I feel so happy to be there surrounded by loving caring friends. I love being able to take the sacrament each week and renew my covenant made a baptism and to do better the next week. I love the knowledge that my family can be together forever if we live righteously. I love the ways that the leaders of our church support us with the information that we need, conferences, media, etc. I love all of the ways that we have to learn each week, talks in Sacrament meeting talks, Sunday school teacher, and Relief Society teachers.
