Hi I'm Kathy Miller

Hi, I'm a Mormon, a proud Grandma/Nana of 21+ wonderful grandchildren and I grew up in Utah!

About Me

I am a wife, a mother of 12, and a Grandma/Nana who loves her family first and foremost. I enjoy swimming, working in my yard (unless it gets to hot), reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Utah surrounded by friends and family that were also members. It was easy for me to attend my church meetings and follow the commandments of our Heavenly Father. When I first became married we moved to Colorado. I found myself around many people who did not know about the Mormon church, or if they did, had interesting misinformation. I found myself defending my church and for the first time truly searching for myself to see if the church was true. After several months of praying to the Lord, not really waiting for an answer just saying the words but fearing the out come. What if my church was not true? Was that even possible? One day I went into my bedroom and knelt down by my bed and prayed and pleaded with Heavenly Father to let me know for certain if this was his true church. I was on my knees for at least a good hour and then the Holy Ghost poured over me and I knew without a doubt all that I had been taught, all that I believed to be true from Joseph Smith being a prophet to my being sealed to my family forever. It was true! I knew it, I had always known it, but I needed that assurance that is promised in the Book of Mormon, in Moroni 10:3-5. I was given this knowledge by the power of the Holy Ghost, I could not deny it, I will not deny it. I know that this is Christ's church, restored on this earth again in the latter days. I know that Jesus is the Christ, the son of our Heavenly Father. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet today who leads his church. This is my testimony, this is the joy and knowledge that sustains me each day.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed through out my life to hold many callings in my ward. I have worked with the young children from 3 years old in the nursery, up to 12 year olds in different classes as their teacher. I have worked with the Young Women, 13-18 as well being a teacher or advisor. I have also been a teacher in different callings with the Adults. I think my favorite calling is working with the young children. I love to be around them, they keep me feeling young.
