Hi I'm MaKayla

I love hunting, fishing, & sports! I'm from Southern Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to go hunting, fishing & just spending time in the mountains, it's what keeps me going. I love the beautiful nature God has given us to enjoy. I love baseball, football & all other sports. I practically live at the baseball field in the spring & summer. I love being with my family, they are the greatest blessing in my life. We love to have fun together & spend time in the mountains camping. I enjoy spending time with my friends, we have lots of fun together doing crazy things. I am from Southern Utah and love it! There is no better place to do the things I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but when I was a teenager I struggled with going to church & believing in God. I had a really great friend that was always there & his example helped me a lot. My friends and my family were great examples and by their strong and consistent presence they helped me come back to church. Eventually I decided that I needed to gain a testimony for myself. I had to find out for myself if the church was true or not. To gain my testimony, I decided to put Moroni's promise (Moroni 10:3-5) to the test. I read The Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. It took me a long time to receive my answer but through study and prayer I have come to know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a true prophet, Jesus Christ suffered for our sins and is our Savior and Redeemer. Through Him we can repent of our sins and live with our Father in Heaven for eternity. Without the Atonement of Christ I would be lost. I have come to love the Atonement very much. As I study, learn & utilize the Atonement I grow closer to my Father in Heaven. I am very grateful for the examples of my friends and family. Without them I don't know where I would be. The gospel is incredible! There is so much to learn and to live. The more I study the more I love it and know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Georgia! I love every second of it. My testimony has increased greatly as I teach the people of Georgia. I read & study The Book of Mormon daily. It is a great help for me in preparing to help others come to Christ.

My ward consists of my street and the 3 surround streets. My stake consists of 10 wards. The bishop provides over the ward or branch. The stake president provides over the stake and helps direct and guide all the bishops & their wards. Show more Show less
