Hi I'm Karen

I live in Utah on a 10 acre farm in a home that my husband built. Being a Mormon gives me direction as a mother and grandmother.

About Me

I am the mother of six children, three sons and three daughters. One of our daughters died of crib death when she was three months old. This was a huge challenge for me! I cried, prayed and searched for answers. Why did this happen to us? Heavenly Father blessed me to know that He loves me and blessed me to be her mother even though we were only together for a short time here on earth. I know that we will be together for eternity because our family has been sealed together in the Temple of God. I am also the grandmother of ten grandchildren. I love every minute I can be with them and look forward to their visits.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I am grateful that I can be forgiven of my mistakes and I strive every day to be a better person. I love my family, friends and neighbors and want to do all I can to help them to have joy and peace in their lives.

How I live my faith

I am so blessed to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life! I know that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and the Savior of mankind. I know He lives and loves us and blesses our lives every day. I believe in miracles because I have seen many in my life. My husband and I are blessed to work with the 18 to 30 year olds in our church. We also love working with young missionaries from all over the world who are learning English.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Karen
My daughter Katelyn passed away when she was three months old from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. My husband and I have grieved for her and miss her so much, but we know that we will see her again someday. I am so thankful that our family has been sealed in the Temple. I know that because of our choice to honor each other as husband and wife and to follow Heavenly Father throughout our lives that we will be blessed with an eternal family. I know this is true because I have prayed and asked with a sincere heart to understand where she is and if I will see her again. I have felt peace and love knowing that the covenants which I have made in the Temple will keep my family together forever. I must be obedient to God's commandments, serve others and work to become a better person by following the example of Jesus Christ and endure to the end. Knowing this brings peace to me.
