Hi I'm Lukas Maring

I grew up in the UK/Germany. I love to draw, play sport and spend time with my family. I'm a son of God and I am Mormon.

About Me

I am the 2nd child of 3; having an older brother and younger sister. I spent my childhood growing up in Germany and England, mainly due to the divorce of my parents; father being german and mother british. Being a quiet person, I usually do not mind my own company; drawing, reading or listening to music. I have a wide range of taste when it comes to music, varying from acoustic to rock and rap to folk. I have always enjoyed playing or watching sports, it is something like an obsession. Playing football, american football, rugby, basketball and most other sports, apart from darts or chess! I play mostly for fun with friends. I try to stay open with others as long as they appear trusting, sensitive and respectful. I like listening to others, about their problems and how I may help, their past and their future.

Why I am a Mormon

We humans are imperfect, fallen and will continue to fall. For example, a very small example, my grammar, spelling and general orthography is FAR from perfect! We all wish we hadn't done certain things and find it hard to feel forgiven or harder still, forgive ourselves. My faith in the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, helps me to stand up from the challenges that life throw at us. We all need a direction in life, some form of standing on our feet once more. Through the church I have goals, targets and hence a direction for life, so that I don't get lost.

How I live my faith

In this day and age it is hard to be religious. It is being condemned, frowned upon and looked down on. However, this gives me courage. I try to help others by sharing the wonderful happiness that comes with knowing that EVERYONE is a child of God and that He will stick by me when things get tough, when I need guidance. I am open with my religion with colleagues or school friends and try to let my actions show for what I stand and what I know to be true. Everyone needs a friend and therefore I'll be your friend!
