Hi I'm Kellie

A recent college graduate, I love to read, write, and play the piano. Now, I'm on a mission in Phoenix. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Because I grew up in a small town, I have always loved the countryside and nature. And the mountains. I go hiking or riding in the mountains whenever I can. I love to read and write. I recently graduated from Westminster College with a degree in English and a minor in music. I am currently serving a mission in Phoenix. Someday, when I grow up, I hope to be an editor and get paid to read books!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon. Because of my parents' example, I learned about my Savior and the importance of His gospel from childhood. But I am still a Mormon today because I have studied and followed the teachings of the Church and found that it brings me peace and happiness. Because understanding of this gospel gives me greater understanding of who I am as a daughter of God and my divine potential. The gospel of Christ gives me the hope that someday, because of Christ, I can become more than I ever imagined, and it gives me the necessary knowledge to someday fulfill my divine purpose. I love Him and want to do His will in this life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints tells me how I can do His will so that I may return to live with Him again someday. And it's just really cool!

How I live my faith

I love playing the piano for church activities and services. Music is how I express my testimony and my gratitude for the Savior. Music is the language that speaks to the very soul and is understood by all, no matter what their native language is. But my faith isn't just for Sundays. Christ is my Savior every day of the week, and I try my best to always follow His teachings, though I am far from perfect.
