Hi I'm Ros

I am 71 years old and mother of 6 boys and 1 girl. I am a Mormon of 41 years.

About Me

First and foremost I am a mother of seven and grandma to 16. I enjoy writing and have studied creative writing at local colleges, I have written a selection of poems and published two novels so far. I have been told I have terminal cancer but have been defying the prognosis for more than twenty years now, getting weaker but pressing forward regardless. Delight in my small garden and all animal wildlife. Do not like cooking but do like food.

Why I am a Mormon

I had been an active church goer for most of my life but had no contact with Mormons until 1971. I recognised the truth of its teachings very quickly and have been firm in my faith since my baptism. There is no better way to live other than by the principles of the gospel and a great way to bring up a family. Life is not perfect but this church organisation shows the way toward perfection. There are some things I believe and some things I KNOW, and being a participant in Christ's true church is a way to discover 'truth' in its fulness.

How I live my faith

I have shared classes as a teacher in most areas of the church programme. One of my favorite areas was working with the youth. I have always enjoyed being a visiting teacher, sharing time with the sisters in their own homes and being able to serve when the need has arisen. Currently I am assigned to organise compassionite service to the sick and needy, the sad and lonely, whatever current needs may arise, mostly learned through a good visiting teaching couple.
