Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in a small town north of Las Vegas, NV. I'm currently serving in the Japan, Tokyo mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small rural town north of Las Vegas, NV. Playing sports has been a huge part of my life growing up. My father coached the basketball team and was an assistant coach in football. I was able to spend a lot of time with him and become close. I am going to be serving in the Japan, Tokyo mission starting as soon as i leave the MTC in September 2013. I'm so excited for this opportunity. Once I return, I plan to attend Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I never had a miraculous experience that cemented my testimony, but through study and prayer I have come to know that it is true. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and because of that, all of the other parts of the gospel fall into place. If this book was translated under the direction of our Heavenly Father, then obliviously his church, priesthood, and other important things would have been restored. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. I can feel that love everyday. He has blessed me so much in my life, I'm so thankful I have the opportunity to serve the lord and the people of Japan for two years.

How I live my faith

Up to this point i have had many opportunities to sere in church related callings. I've had many teaching opportunities and leadership opportunities that have helped me learn, grow, and come to know my savior Jesus Christ. I've also been able to be involved in a lot of service. I have learned to love service because it is what our savior did during his time on earth. I have made the decision to serve a mission. I know it won't be easy but will be so worth it. I will be able to live my faith as I serve in the mission field.
