Hi I'm Chanelle

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and worked as a Registered Nurse in Southern Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After living in Nevada my whole life, I moved to southern Utah where I went to school and obtained my Registered Nursing degree. I have been living in St. George for 5 years now and have been working there as a RN for close to 2 years now. I have recently decided to serve a mission for the church and will be serving for the next 18 months. I love doing anything creative. Art has always been one of my favorite hobbies and ever since I have moved out of my parents home, I have adopted cooking and creating recipes as one of my all time favorite hobbies. I have always told my family and friends that in another life I would have been a chef or baker. Who knows, one day I might open up my own sandwich cafe'.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find such great peace in this truth. I have read the Book of Mormon multiple times in my life and have sought a honest answer from our Heavenly Father as to the truthfulness of this book and have been able to receive my own witness that it is inspired of God for our benefit, learning and growth. There have been many times in my life when I have felt so alone, but Heavenly Father has always been there for me and the principles that are known in the LDS church have lifted and sustained me even in the hard times. Life was not meant to be easy, it was meant to challenge us so that we can become better and grow so that we can be worthy to live with our Heavenly Father and our Eternal families one day and the principles taught in the LDS church have always helped me to overcome even the toughest of times.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every way that I can. I love to attend church meetings every Sunday in which I have taught adults in one of the classes for close to two years now. I love the opportunities it provides for me to learn. Although attending church is so important, I think that living my faith is so much more that just attending meetings. I really try to find opportunities to go out into the community and serve. I have volunteered at many different facilities including The Children of Hope Academy, but my favorite thing to do is to just be a friend to those around me. Christ served everyone and loved them and I am trying my best to do the same.
