Hi I'm Aaron

I have a forever family, I love to tuckle my children, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a forever family! I married my sweetheart thinking I loved her as much as possible; we have both been pleasantly surprised to watch our love blossom and grow over the years as we've added two children to our family and shared in life's challenges and triumphs together. Every night I tuckle my kids into bed. A tuckle is a combination of tickles, snuggles, hugs, and kisses - and they are way funny! Although the kiddos will say they don't care for them, the smiles and giggles and returned tuckles make me think that secretly they love it! I love my family more than anything else! That's the greatest part about the Gospel of Jesus Christ for me: I don't have to give them up for anything! We can be together forever, overcoming the separation of death through the atonement and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Because of my faith in Jesus Christ, I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager I felt a desire to know for myself whether the religion of my parents was true. I had a belief, and I never doubted my parents convictions, but I wanted to have for myself a true understanding that this was the right path to follow. I was studying from The Book of Mormon, in Mosiah chapter 4, when I came across these words: "Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend." With the desire for a sure knowledge, and a desire to believe, I knelt privately one night in prayer with the purpose to ask the God, "Are you real? Are you really there? Do you really know and care about me?" I had no sooner put these questions to the Lord, when immediately I felt a sureness enter my heart. Though there was no audible voice, it was as if another had whispered straight into my soul, "Yes, my son, I am here. I do exist, and I do know you. You are on the right path." Words cannot describe the peace, knowledge, and understanding that flowed through my soul at that time. From that day till now, and from now to forever, I know that God is my Heavenly Father, that He lives and that He loves me! I know He has a plan for me and for my family, whereby I can return with them to live with Him. My hope is to help others come nearer to God and feel of His infinite, eternal love for them.

How I live my faith

In outlining a few of the basic beliefs and doctrines of Mormons, the Prophet Joseph Smith stated: "We believe in being...benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men..." (Articles of Faith, 13). Doing good is a part of my daily life, whether in the home, at work, or in the community. I strive to be helpful to those around me and to love and serve them, treating them as the Savior would if He were in my situation. This is especially important in my home, where the three people I love the most live with me. I strive to show kindness and respect, and to serve each of them in a special way every day.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The missionaries are representatives of the Savior, Jesus Christ. They teach the Gospel of Christ to all who are willing to listen. They will present a series of lessons to introduce you and your family to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. You will have the opportunity to learn about your relationship with God, our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, and the special role each has in our lives. You will also learn about the eternal nature of families and how you and your family can be united for eternity. The missionaries will present to you a history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, explaining priesthood authority, church organization and leadership, and the principle of continuing revelation. You will also be introduced to the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is a volume of scripture comparable to the Bible, which takes place on the American continent. As they visit with you, you may experience thoughts and feelings of familiarity, comfort, peace, and truth. These are the fruits of the Spirit of God, or the Holy Ghost, testifying to the divinity of their message. Follow the invitations to act, study, pray, and ponder that the missionaries will give you and you can come to know for yourself that Jesus is the Christ, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's true church on the earth today.
