Hi I'm Whitney

I grew up in California and Nevada. I love sports and the piano. I am a nursing student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I am a student and have just been accepted into my college's nursing program. Growing up I learned to play the piano, and participated in my schools' choirs. I loved playing volleyball, basketball, and pole vaulting for my high school. I also enjoy taking walks, reading, star gazing, and doing home improvement projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned for my self that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I have searched the Bible and the Book of Mormon, I have pondered, I have asked the Lord if this is truly His church, He answered my prayers, and He will answer yours. This Gospel has the power to change hearts and lives. I am a Mormon because it makes me so happy. I love it! It gives my life purpose, clarity, and joy. I know who I am. I am a daughter of a loving Father in Heaven. He knows and loves me. He knows and loves you. I know where I'm going and because God is merciful, He has given us the way to reach our fullest potential.

How I live my faith

I am who I am today because of my faith. My faith helps me be the best person that I can be. I strive to live my life the way that God wants me to, and I try my very best to do as Christ would. I help make sure that all of the women in my ward are taken care of and know that they are loved. This August I will leave my home, my family, my friends, and my native language in order to share the happiness that my faith brings into my life with the people of Guatemala. I am so excited for this opportunity to serve the Lord 24/7 for the next 18 months because my faith is so precious to me, and I want others to experience the same joy that I feel.
