Hi I'm Kayla

I grew up in Utah but then moved to Tennessee. I play ultimate frisbee. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely LOVE sports, especially ultimate frisbee. I'm on my school ultimate frisbee team and love every minute of it! I like being active and showing my competitive side, but I also love service opportunities. I volunteer with my local Boys and Girls Club and enjoy spending time with other people. I'm a Junior in high school and cant wait to go to college; I'm hoping to get into Brigham Young University in Provo Utah, but Utah State University is my second choice.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel and have had so many great examples in my life. Even though I grew up surrounded by the gospel, my testimony had to come on its own. I have prayed and read the scriptures to know if the church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints was true. I can say now for myself that I KNOW that this is the true church and that the gospel was restored by Joseph Smith. I love the church with all my heart and I definitely wouldn't be the person I am today without the gospel.

How I live my faith

I'm currently called as the Young Women's Laurel President (I'm the youth president of young women) I try to develop a relationship with all the young women. I love working alongside the leaders and hope that once I'm out of the Youth program I'll be able to be a leader. Since I turned 16, I'm able to go on team ups with the Sister missionaries, I love going with them when I can and wish I was able to team up with them more often.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only way to know for yourself is to pray. I know some people who believe praying is silly but if you desire to know if the church is true don't worry about what others think, Heavenly Father will understand your questions and your heart and will give you an answer. Show more Show less
