Hi I'm Trevor

I grew up in Rexburg, Idaho. I love to play soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up playing soccer my whole life. I lettered as a Junior and Senior on the Varsity soccer team. Besides soccer, I participated in Business Professionals of America (BPA), Speech, and Debate, making it to state my Junior and Senior years in all 3. I was also actively involved in the National Honor Society, and was its President my senior year. My mom has had Multiple Sclerosis (MS) my entire life. This disease has affected her ability to walk, with her now almost always having to use a wheelchair. This has been difficult but also a good learning experience. I also plan to attend Brigham Young University after serving a mission for 2 years in the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the comfort that it brings to me in my life. I've been a member of this church my entire life. As a kid I began to believe in this church because of my parents, but as I've gotten older I've come to the understanding of the truthfulness of this church for myself. I have read the Book of Mormon and much of the Bible to learn how well they both work together to guide us in our lives. Many times I've wondered why this church is so important to me and over time I've learned why. It is important because first off it teaches what God wants me to do. Then secondly, from following those teachings I have been tremendously blessed. This entire church's workings are for the benefit of the world and all of the people in it. Through personal experience I have my own testimony of the truthfulness of this church and know that it is the only true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Through my participation in the LDS church I've had many opportunities to serve others. My friends and I as part of our church's youth group had lots of fun sweeping sidewalks, shoveling snow, and doing a variety of other service projects. I'm always happy to help out in any way that I can from setting up chairs to cleaning the church building. I also had the opportunity to go hometeaching with my Dad since I was 14. We'd visit two families in my neighborhood once a month to check up on how they were doing as well as teach them a short spiritual lesson. These experiences and others have led to me serving a mission where I can continue to serve as well as teach people about my faith and how it has benefited my life.
