Hi I'm James Swink

I'm student, studying biology at Utah State University. I love to ski, climb, bike, and just be outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fan of biking, hiking, running, and pretty much anything outside. I play the piano and the saxophone. Currently I'm studying biology up at Utah State University, with plans to eventually attend medical school and become and doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I grew up attending primary, entered into the Young Men's program when I was twelve, and became an Elder when I was eighteen. Even though I didn't discover the church on my own, I can honestly say it is one of the things that is most important to me in my life. By living church teachings, I have been able to enjoy a higher degree of joy, have had a clear view of where I'm going, and been able to make clearer decisions in my daily life. The church has truly blessed me in my journey here on earth. I would strongly encourage anyone who is the slightest bit of interest in the church to give it a try and see how His gospel can affect your lives.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the Church. At my home ward, I am currently teaching the 6-7 year old class in Primary, and it has been my favorite calling I've ever had. I love hearing the kids' takes on gospel principles, and being able to watch their testimonies grow and flourish has been a boon to my own testimony. I'm also preparing to serve an LDS mission in Budapest, Hungary. While it might be one of the scariest things I've done in my life, I cannot wait to teach and preach for two years.
