Hi I'm Zach

I'm a Californian, I love fast cars and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I just returned from serving as a full time missionary in the Idaho Pocatello Mission. I am attending school at Brigham Youn University - Idaho working towards a degree in business management. I love working on cars and spontaneous adventures. I love my savior and the joy HIs atonement brings me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I tried to be an example when i was growing up by how i lived my life. When I was 14 all my immediate family except my father left the church. I had to take the challenge issued in The Book of Mormon in Moroni 10:3-5 and find out if it really was the true church and if i should continue attending or go and live my life how most other teenagers were. I received an answer that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on the earth today and that we are indeed guided by a living prophet today. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that it is on the earth today for us to learn from. I know it and because i know it to be true with all my heart i can never deny that fact.

How I live my faith

Living in a town that is mostly LDS it is quite easy to live my faith. It was harder in California where I had to stand up for my beliefs every day as temptations to follow the crowd were pushing me to do things that I knew were wrong. I had to truly live my religion and show others what I believed through my actions.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes I do. As LDS members we believe that God is unchanging. He loves his children today just as much as he loves his children who have lived in the past. There were prophets placed on the earth at earlier times to teach his children about Christ and the atonement. He has placed a prophet here on the earth today to teach us about the restoration of his church and to lead and guide us to return to live with out Father in Heaven once again. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

The authority to perform a baptism is important because without the authority the act is useless. If i tried to pull you over for speeding but im not a police officer what authority do I have to perform that action? it is the same type of authority but it is not authority that man has given to man, but it is the authority that God has given to man. It is called the Priesthood. The Priesthood is the authority to act in Gods name. Jesus Christ went to John the Baptist to be baptized because He had the proper authority given by God. It is essential that that authority is here on the earth again today because without it the saving ordinances could not be performed. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Eternal life is achieved through the Atonement of Christ. He died so each of us may live. Through his grace we can be strengthened and given power to achieve the things our Father in Heaven has for us to do in this life. If we do those things and are found worthy we are then blessed with the opportunity to live with our Father in Heaven for time and all eternity. Without our Father in Heaven or eternity, Eternal life would not exist. Show more Show less
