Hi I'm Jared

I have 25 nieces and nephews, 7 sisters, 1 brother, and a mom and dad. That's what you call a mormon!!

About Me

I finished my undergraduate college experience with a BS in mechanical engineering. I have been accepted to a graduate program to further my education in mechanical engineering. I love anything active from organized sports to jumping on the trampoline to camping in The Great North West. Although I don't always show my excitement, I enjoy spending time with my family playing games. I also like building things. I have built model plastic cars, a realistic model ship, and a tree house. I also helped my dad add on to our house twice. First we attached a 600 sq-ft apartment for my grandmother to move into, and then we rebuilt a 300 sq-ft sun-room next to our kitchen. I play the piano and I played the trumpet in high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt the Holy Spirit of God countless times in my life. I know that God is real and that I am one of his children. I was born as a mormon, but I am still a mormon today because I know it will help me return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in Heaven. One of the greatest blessings of being a mormon is knowing that I will live with my family forever because we were sealed together in a Holy Temple of God. Everyone is invited and everyone is needed in the mormon church.

How I live my faith

I try to show respect towards all people. I know that we all come from different backgrounds and we all have our own challenges. We are all loved by our Heavenly Father and he wants us to love each other, even our enemies. I read from the King James Version of the Bible and I also read the Book of Mormon. I read these books so that I can feel closer to God and so I know what God expects me to do during this earth life. I go to the normal 3 hours of church every Sunday and the frequent activities during the week. I have helped my community by countless hours of service in the Boy Scouts of America program, including a Eagle Project at the local elementary school. I served the Lord full time for two years as a missionary in the Montana Billings Mission. In Montana we taught people about Jesus Christ, we read from the scriptures including the Bible and Book of Mormon, showed them how they could have happier lives with their families and provided any necessary service (mowing, pruning, painting, doing the dishes, shoveling snow, taking out the trash...) Even though my two year mission is over I still provide service in my church helping other people.
