Hi I'm Marc Oelkers

I was born in Taiwan and lived in Texas. I wrestled. I study at BYU. I'm a missionary in Portland, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Taiwan, and moved to Texas when I was 6 years old. When I was 8 I started wrestling. I wrestled all the way until I graduated high school. I love sports. After I graduated from high school in 2012, I went to school up at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While at BYU I got my mission call to Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. Currently I am serving as a missionary in Oregon Portland Mission while I wait for my Visa to come.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this gospel. I know that it is Christ's restored gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God, and I feel closer to Christ every time I sit down and read. I have come to know the truthfulness of this church through many personal spiritual experiences. This knowledge brings me joy, and I am blessed to have this church in my life.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith by trying to be an example to the people who surround me in my every day life. I have never been perfect, but I have always tried to live my faith the best I could. Now as I am a missionary for the church, I live my faith by sharing it with the people who are searching for the truth. My goal is to bring others closer to Christ by sharing His restored gospel with them.
