Hi I'm Jeffrey Barker

Utah. Bagpiper. Missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Utah has distinct seasons which provides me with different hobbies all year round. I love to snowboard in the winter, and do anything else that involves the snow. When it's warmer and dry I like to mountain bike, water ski, play baseball, play volleyball, and enjoy the sun. Music is a big part of my life, whether it's listening to it, or playing. I played trumpet in high school, and I've been playing bagpipes for about 4 years. I am currently serving in the New Zealand Hamilton Mission! I love it here in NZ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly feel the Lord's love for me. Because of Christ, I know that no matter how many times I make a mistake He will be there for me, to put me back on my feet. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and know that anyone that really wants to feel the Lord's love for them, can by learning more about the Church.

How I live my faith

One of the most simple ways I live my faith, is by serving other people. Growing up in the Church, the youth are involved with many service projects. I've helped cut trees, rake leaves, shovel snow, shingle a roof, and many more things. Through serving other people I come to feel God's love. Recently I was in charge of teaching a class at church. By having to prepare the lessons, I was able to learn more myself and draw nearer to the Lord.
