Hi I'm George

I serve in the US Air Force, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After joining the USAF, I was in Monterey, CA when one of my classmates started telling me about the church. Having been raised Baptist, I always had questions but never had answers. He asked if it would be ok with me meeting with the missionaries. I agreed, and in the first few lessons they answered all my questions. Shortly thereafter, I was baptized and confirmed. I am now stationed in Georgia and happily married to a fellow convert :)

Why I am a Mormon

Before converting, I didn't live a very righteous or Christlike life. But I can stand today and say with confidence that my old ways have gone because of the influence of Christ and the Holy Spirit in my life. There were so many things that I used to do that I felt ashamed of, but I know of a surety that my past sins are washed away and forgiven, and that by staying steadfast and true on the path of righteousness, being guided by the Holy Spirit, I am forgiven and clean. I met my wife in the church, I've had so many questions answered so plainly and truly in the church, and have felt the Spirit so strongly since joining that I can not deny the truths of the church.

How I live my faith

I am currently the secretary for my priesthood group, and together we help by taking care of the ward members, give blessings, and we even help people move in or out of the area if they need help. At work, I sometimes get the opportunity to share the gospel with my coworkers and clear up any discrepancies they may have.
