Hi I'm AJ Larson
I grew up in Utah. I love video games and animation. I'm serving in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I love video gaming and gaming in general. Board games with a group of five or more are best. I love to play Pathfinder and Dungeons and Dragons. Back at home I was part of a gaming group that played it every week. I did that for a year before coming on a mission. My friends were very supportive as two of them had served missions and gave some valuable advice. I love Japanese cartoons and pretty much everything that comes out of Japan in terms of entertainment. I am a total brony! I love to read books, graphic novels, and webcomics. I plan to go to college to become an animator. My passion involves me going into the video gaming industry but it may also take me towards cartoons on television or motion pictures. I don't care where it leads me, just so long as I get to be one. I'm an avid artist and love to draw. I haven't really drawn anything in the realistic category, just mainly cartoons and such. I love to read fantasy novels mostly. Among some of my favorites are the Eragon books, The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, and all things Lord of the Rings. I'm just an all around interesting guy. Haha!
Why I am a Mormon
I have a deep testimony of the gospel. Since I was raised in the church I've never had too much of a doubt that it was true. I want to be with my family forever. That's the whole reason I'm a Mormon. My real conversion happened after I worked at a Walmart for three months doing overnight janitorial work. I hadn't gone to church in about six weeks because I would sleep during the day from working Saturday evening to Sunday morning. During this period of time I was going through some serious depression and I realized that it was because I wasn't going to church. The next morning I told my dad that I was going to church no matter what and I would like his help to bring me there. So I'd come home and sleep for a few hours before my dad would wake me up to get ready. At that time I only went to sacrament meeting but later after I'd quit working at Walmart and found in an interview that it was required of me to attend my priesthood meetings too to get a temple recommend. Since then I haven't missed a single meeting and I always attend my priesthood meetings as well. I've become converted to the gospel and I will never turn away from it. This is the Lord's work and it is my privilege to be a part of it during this historic rise in missionary service.
How I live my faith
I currently serve as a missionary for the Church. It is my way of giving back to the Lord for all that he's done for me. I just want to share this happiness with others by being a good missionary and sharing this glad message with everyone who wants to listen.
