Hi I'm Paul

I'm a software engineer. I love family history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a software engineer. I graduated from BYU in computer engineering. I love to work with computers in general. Recently I took up riding a motorcycle and I am constantly studying to learn new things. It's what I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the sense of purpose. There is order and truth in what is taught and I truly believe that by learning and abiding by the precepts taught there, a man can become close to God. One thing that I have learned over the years is that people tend to hit what they focus on. In my motorcycle safety class they called it target fixation. You go where you look. If you focus on a tree you will hit that tree. If you focus on a pot hole in the road, you will hit the pot hole. It is the same in life in general. If you focus on doubts or insistence that you are not good enough then you will stay there. You will continue to feel weak if you choose to focus on weakness. If you focus on God and how to get to where he is, you will go there eventually. You can progress and become better by looking where you want to go instead of becoming dizzy looking where you are. I will focus on God and what he has given me. I have family and opportunity. I choose hope. I'm a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to go back to where God is.

How I live my faith

Most of what I do is help visit and encourage my neighbors and friends. Everyone needs someone to look out for them and someone to look out for. There is purpose in my calling in the church and as I visit others I encourage them to do the same.
