Hi I'm Jade

I jam on the guitar. I love to camp with my family and be in the mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to see the world through the strings of a guitar. When I am not playing or writing music, you can find me spending time with my wonderful family or my beautiful girlfriend and her family. The mountains are my second home, where you can often find me fishing, hunting, shooting rifles, backpacking, or camping. Someone once noted, "If the outdoors are so great, then why do bugs try so desperately to get inside?" This is a good question. I usually answer by saying, "I am the bug. And I yearn for the wild!" My dream vacation would be getting dropped off in the middle of Alaska with only what I could carry on my back.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have studied it; I have pondered it, and I have received witness from my Heavenly Father that it is true. Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Redeemer. I know that He loves me and that He loves all of his children. He pours out blessings upon us as we follow His commandments and He wraps us in a Celestial hug when we need comfort. In comparison to His eternal glory, we seem so small. Yet, we mean everything to Him. I have a testimony that through Him, our weak things can become strong (2 Cor. 9: 10-12). We just have to do our very best. This is why I am a Mormon. I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I was raised in a Mormon family. My mom's parents were converts to the church, and my mom converted my dad. So, the church is farely recent in my family. However, our faith is strong. In order to describe how I live my faith, it is important to understand what my faith consists of. If you look up "Mormons" in the dictionary, the first synomymous term you should find is "service". I often visit the elderly, playing guitar and singing for them. I have also spent a lot of my church time in positions of leadership, where I have had the opportunity to serve and labor with my peers. Recently, I have made the commitment to devote all of my time to serving the Lord. I am currently serving a full time, 2 year LDS Mission in the Detroit, Michigan area.
