Hi I'm Sarah G Reilly

I am a Family History Consultant and Visiting Teacher Co-ordinator within the Paisley Ward

About Me

Friendly outgoing and caring, I laugh a lot and try to pass on my outgoing and friendly demeaner to those around me. I love to help others less fortunate than myself, I crochet clothes for prem babies in countries less fortunate. I live with my husband Mark who was born with Ceribal Palsy.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the Chruch of Jesus Christ and of Latter Day Saints after praying for guidance on how to bring up my Daughter and after visits from Elders who were doing an outreach to members that had lapsed, My aunty was on their list, we agreed to be taught. All three of us went on to be baptised.

How I live my faith

II have been attending Church for 3yrs with occational breaks when ill or my family are in town to visit. I was baptised in 1996 but fell away for almost 12yrs, due to poor choices, I was married to my husband Mark in 2011 at the Kilmarnock Branch. I help him take care of his son Mark (Jnr) who has ADHA when he has access at the weekends or during the holidays. My daughter Rachel who has dyslexia and is now a child care provider.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Sarah G Reilly
I found it best to start with the Elder who teach you the Gosple Principles (consider joining us in Gosple Doctrine after you have been attending for roughly 1year) then join us for the sacrament and talks. When you feel confident that this faith is for you then you should consider joining either the brothers in Preisthood or the Sisters in Releif Sociaty where you can expand your knowledge and faith further. Childern from 18 monthsto 3 yrs have their nursery class, then up to 11 yrs have Primary and up to 17yrs they can join either young men or woman which all takes place at the same time as the adult classes Show more Show less

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Sarah G Reilly
Churches are your first step to being a follower of Jesus Christ and through living the Gosple and making needful changes to your life-style, you can then get a temple reccommend, which I am still working on, where you can when interveiwed prove yourself worthy by living the Word of Wisdom and keeping th covanants which you made at baptisum Show more Show less
