Hi I'm Rachael

I am missionary searving Mexico. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm the middle child of 7 crazy siblings. Of that bunch, only one has been married and had a kid. My sister, who is the third child, has special needs. Her brain didn't develop properly in the womb so when she was born she began having seizures. She received an experimental surgery which has helped her lead a fairly normal life. She has signs of being handicapped, but that has never stopped her. She is one of my heros. For me, family is very important. I enjoy rendering service to them, and also my community. I consider education vital. I'm a recent high school graduate and plan on attending college after I serve the Lord for 18 months. Personality wise I have been compared to a rock, firm, steady and sure. I hope to one day be married and have children of my own. Our family has seen many animals, dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, chickens, just to name a few.Currently we have two dogs, a schnauzer and a poodle both very active and loving.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion has been a slow but steady process over the corse of my life. I was born and raised in the Mormon church. At an early age I developed the habit of attending church regularly. At church I learned about Jesus Christ and how he reestablish His church on the earth again through the latter-day prophet Joseph Smith. I learned that the Book of Mormon was an ancient record which Joseph translated and in it contains another testament of Jesus Christ. But simply learning this did not convert me to the Gospel, I had to receive a witness for myself that these things were true. So I began with reading the Book of Mormon. At the end of the book it challenges you to pray to know if is true; I prayed and didn't receive an earth shattering answer but rather I knew the Book of Mormon to be the word of God by the way it made me feel when I was reading it. That witness has grown each time I read and study from it. Because I know the Book of Mormon to be true I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and he did reestablish Christ Church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I show my devotion God by attending church every Sunday, reading and pondering the holy scriptures, and praying to him in faith that he will hear me and answer my petition. It is simple things which make a large difference in my life. I am currently serving as a missionary, and doing my best to represent Him.
