Hi I'm Damon Cook

I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii. I play the piano. I love reading. I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a person who loves music! I've been playing for 9 1/2 years and arranged 4 songs and played it for my friends and family. In my free time I love to listen to music, read books, and arrange more songs of my own. On any other day I would spend time with my family as much as I can and make the moments memorable. I am serving as a missionary in the Dominican Republic for 2 years.

Why I am a Mormon

Serving a mission is such a great thing to do for those who are now hitting the age of 18 for young men or 19 for young women. I decided to take time off college for 2 years because I want others to feel the happiness that I feel and to share my testimony with others about the church. I know that my life has changed for the better because of the message that we, as members of this church, share with others. Part of our belief is that we want others to feel the happiness that we feel. For them to feel the joy and for them to know that there is a loving Father in Heaven that loves them no matter what. I know that this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is the one and only true church here upon this earth today. I am so grateful for the blessings that I have experienced as a member of this church. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and the He Lives and He loves each and every single one of us because we are His children. I am grateful to be able to serve a mission in another language and share the gospel with others. Why am I grateful? Because talking about the gospel and Jesus Christ to you is worth every bit.

How I live my faith

For the past few Sundays, I've been teaching the Priest quorum and helping them learn how to teach and prepare for their missions. I've participated in sharing my music with my ward for the past 7 years. What I've enjoyed most from all the callings I've had is sharing my testimony with the young men and help them build their testimony. On my mission I have the chance to share my testimony and my beliefs with others.
