Hi I'm Raul Figueroa

My Name is Raul Figueroa and I'm preparing to serve in the Mexico Xalapa Mission!

About Me

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I've been living in Phoenix,Arizona for the past six years. I was raised by a single mother and have a younger brother, Luis. My mind is firmly focused on getting an education and serving my mission at the moment. One of my greatest Interests is Music. I like to think i'm like a modern-day composer so I'm constantly writing music. I'd like to write for other people someday. As far as my personality goes, I'm just naturally reserved; I get flustered way too easily. It gets difficult to express myself sometimes but, I've learned to be patient with myself and to slowly work towards being a better person. I'm a convert and got baptized into the church when I was 15 years old.Ever since then, I've always cultivated the idea of going on a mission. I'm sure it'll be the best time of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the church is so true! This truly is the pure doctrine of Christ and not of man. If there is anything that seems erroneous or hypocritical about Religion, This is where you will find the truth about what true religion really is. People will call it Mormonism and they will call us Mormons, but in reality, It is the True Gospel Of Jesus Christ and we are his covenanted people. I have heard all the things that people have to say against the church but I have also seen the fruits from all this and I've determined that the fruit is good. There is a sense of direction that I have and a much deeper purpose for my life. I am strengthened against hard times. God has answered my prayers countless times. There's no denying it. Living the gospel is for our own benefit; for our own happiness and I have proven it for myself. Why wouldn't we want to share this with others?

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living with a hope for good things to come and having love for others; By seeing people for the good attributes they have and not for the flaws they may have. I live my life trusting that God will always look out for me and give answers to my prayers when I need them. Living this gospel has brought the greatest joy ever.
