Hi I'm Benson

I'm a missionary. I'm a runner. I'm a Neuroscience student at BYU. I'm a blogger. But best of all, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a runner. I'm a Neuroscience student at Brigham Young University. I'm a brother, friend, missionary. But best of all, I'm a son of God. I've been raised by goodly parents who've taught me all that I need to know and do to enjoy all of God's blessings. For eighteen years of life I've enjoyed my Mormon membership. And I am thrilled to share the happiness that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in 'happily-ever-afters', and the gospel of Jesus Christ, as practiced in the Mormon church, is the way to fairytale endings. Many individuals doubt the plausibility of living 'happily-ever-after'. But I, for one, cannot deny the confidence I have that fairytale endings are not only achievable, but that God has promised such to all individuals who follow his plan. This plan is simple. It is no more than faithfully obeying His commandments which are outlined in the scriptures and by modern prophets. The best part of God's plan is that the reward notably outweighs the cost. By following God's plan He has blessed me with peace. He has blessed me with lasting happiness: not happiness as the world offers- shallow, fleeting, superficial- but genuine satisfaction. He has promised me 'happily-ever-after', and I believe him. I've heard his message, seen the miracles wrought by his hand, and felt his overwhelming love. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am presently devoting 24 months of my life to serve as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The area to which I've been assigned is the Adriatic South Mission, which encompasses the countries of Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo. I've chosen to serve because I want to share the peace, hope, and satisfaction the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to my life. Furthermore, I live my faith by the way I conduct my life. I show my thanks to God for all I've been given by adhering to his commandments, and in return he blesses me beyond my grandest imaginations. I live my faith by setting an example. I live my faith by mirroring God's love. I live my faith by striving to become like Jesus Christ. And because I live my faith I am truly happy.
