Hi I'm Aubrey

I grew up in Idaho, I am an Illustrator, a student, and a singer. I am a Mormon

About Me

The first thing you need to know about me is that I am not perfect. There are so many things that I don't understand about this life wether its the trials I face, scientific theories, math in general, or just why I have to get out of bed in the mornings. Nevertheless, I have come to the sure knowledge that through God, we can overcome our weaknesses and change them into our greatest strengths. With that said, I am a college student who is pursuing a career in digital illustration, its been a long road but every step of the way has been worth it. Besides drawing of course, I love reading, singing, hiking, horse back-riding, and watching the classic BBC television shows and Disney movies.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have grown up with the church in my life, being a Mormon has always been my personal choice. Deep down I have always known that it is the correct path. I have never really had a big grandiose revelation, but line upon line precept upon precept, I have gained a testimony, and know for myself of the the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on this earth, and that the Book of Mormon came about through revelation by the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that it is the word of God. I also know that I am a daughter of God with a divine potential and purpose, and that the Savior died for me not just suffering for my sins, but also suffering all of my pains and afflictions that I have had, or ever will have. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today, and that he is the mouthpiece by which the Lord guides his church and people. and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I think the strongest way to show how to live ones faith, is by example. Growing up in an LDS or Mormon community, sometimes this was a bit tough. There would be kids who knew about the gospel but didn't really live it. In the different callings I have had, I have learned something new each time. Like for example when I was in Young Women's Program of the church we did a lot of service, this enabled me to appreciate those that had served me in my life, and stretch myself to blessing others. Young Women's also blessed me by creating an environment where I was able to get out of my box, and gave me a sense of purpose, and self esteem.
