Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in Blackfoot, Idaho. I work at a fast food restaurant. I'm a fisherman and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy skiing, fishing, hiking, hunting, swimming, talking with friends, and reading. My interests include music and singing, government, science, comic books, and such. I plan on going to college (no I don't know what I want to major in yet). I have participated in the We the People program, and high school choir. I have worked at two different fast-food jobs, I have also been a farm worker and a manual laborer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of how my religion has helped me in my life and how I've seen it help others. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful church. I don't know where I 'd be without it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my ward regularly, by home teaching, and by preparing to serve a mission.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Tyler
Almost all Mormon missionaries (and their families) fund their own missions. Only those who are unable to fund their own missions are financially provided for by the church. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Tyler
The gospel brings great joy to our lives, and Mormon missionaries proselyte because we want to share it with everyone who will listen so that they can have the opportunity to be equally happy. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Tyler
Not all Mormons are required to serve a mission. We are commanded to teach the gospel, and just like with other commandments, we are answerable to God regarding our obedience or our disobedience. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Tyler
Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God our Eternal Father. We have great respect for Joseph Smith. He was the person through whom God restored His gospel to the earth again, through whom the priesthood was restored, and who was called by God to lead the church. Show more Show less
