Hi I'm Jantzen

I live in Springville Utah. I am eighteen years old, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

The thing I love more than anything is music. I love to sing and play the piano, and that is what I do with all of my free time. I also love sports. Throughout highschool I ran cross country and track, and was on the basketball team. Aside from music and sports, I just like to hang out with my friends. We love to go to the movies, play a pick-up basketball game, or just hang out and have fun. I just graduated highschool a few weeks ago and plan on going to college once I return from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have felt the Spirit confirm to me of the truthfulness of this gospel. Through studying my scriptures, and praying, and trying to live in a way that God would want me to, I have felt the spirit too many times to be able to deny it. I have an unshakable testimony that God is real, and that He is always there to help us, no matter what we're going through, and no matter what we've done in our lives. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ truly is the son of God, and that he atoned for all of our sins so that we all can repent, and return to live in the presence of our Father in Heaven and His son again after this mortal life. I know that there were prophets of old, and that there are prophets now. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and that this incredible church was restored through him. I continue to follow this gospel and have faith in it, because i can feel its power, and that it really is the truth. I know that anyone can find an answer to what they are looking for if they pray with real intent, with faith, wanting to find an answer. I know that God loves us, and wants what's best for us. We have been commanded to follow Him, and this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

There are many ways in which I live my faith. The biggest one at this point in my life is that I am about to leave on a full-time mission for the church. However, many things I have been able to do in the church leading up to my mission have been really helpful in my decision to go on one. One example, is that in this church we go home teaching. We get assigned a home teaching companion, and visit our assigned family members that are apart of our ward. We just talk with them, see how they're doing, and share a brief gospel message. It's something that I really look forward to doing every month. Another example of how I live my faith, is that I simply go to church every sunday. I study the scriptures regularly, and I kneel down in prayer to talk to my Father in Heaven. Those are things I continue to do on a regular basis because I know that doing those things will bring me closer to God and His son, Jesus Christ. The reason I live my faith is because I know that it is true, and that it is what God wants me to do.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only way to really know for yourself if this church is true, is to pray about it to Heavenly Father, sincerely wanting to know the answer. You will receive your answer through the Holy Ghost, through feelings of peace, joy, happiness, and comfort. The way to receive promptings by the Holy Ghost is to live God's commandments.
