Hi I'm Hannah

I love running, laughing and I want to be a home birth midwife someday. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Bucket list: Visit the Grand canyon (I have lived in Utah all my life and STILL have never seen it! tragic....) skydive. Be a pro rock climber. Learn another language. Own a baby grand piano. Play the harp. Actually make something I found on pinterest. Make my house look like it could be on pinterest:) Become a midwife. visit New Zealand (for some reason I just have always wanted to go there.) Go on a service trip to Guatemala , and somewhere in Africa someday. Work in an orphanage. Adopt a child. Have 10 boys and raise them all to be stellar young men (okay so maybe 10 is a slight exaggeration!) Read Les Miserables. Write a novel. Be a yoga instructor! Run an Ironman. Okay there ya go... that's pretty much me! I am such a Utah Valley girl. Born and raised and yes VERY sheltered, I was even homeschooled;) Although I like to think I am pretty open minded...I have traveled Europe, Built homes in Mexico, attended over 40 beautiful home births and am frequently referred to as a health nut and a hippie. I have 2 brothers, 3 sisters and two nieces who I absolutely adore! I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cleveland Ohio and at a visitors center there that gives tours for some historical church sites there. It is such a special place! I love it so much! Serving a mission has been the highlight of my life thus far and I am so excited to be having this experience in bringing souls unto Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I LOVE THIS GOSPEL!!!!! Seriously though, it is the best thing and I mean THE BEST thing in my life. It is the reason I am so happy and confident that my life is and always will be GOOD and WONDERFUL! Although I have had plenty of hard times and know that my fair share of trials is sure to come. I know that because of my knowledge and testimony of God's love for me that in the end....all will be well. I truly believe that we have a loving God who is mindful of our every desire, heartache and weakness. I know it is only because He loves us soooo much that He sent His only son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins and break the bonds of death so that we can all live with them and our families someday soon in Heaven! I love My God and My king and I love the principles and precepts of His true church. I know that by living worthily and always trying to be more like Jesus Christ that I am blessed immensely. I never really get it right! But I try hard and I know that's all God wants me to do...just keep trying! I love people and I know that we are all sons and daughters of God...Literally! I know that Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of His children here on earth right now just as much as He loves me. Which is so amazing because I have felt His love SO strongly. Not that I deserve it but it is there and it is mine....and all of ours! It is for this reason I want to serve a mission and tell the people in Ohio of the wonderful blessings they can have in their lives through believing of Gods love for them and doing what He wants them to do! Isn't this life Marvelous???!!!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to be like Jesus! Simple concept but so hard to do! Still, I know I am a better person for trying every day to do, say and act like My Savior would. I recently have been noticing example after example where in a normal situation with a normal person, they would be completely selfish and focus on self preservation. But with Christ, He always "turns out" He constantantly is focusing on everyone else around him and how special they are and how much He loves them! I love reading about Christ and am continuing to learn and grow in Him!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Of course not! Serving a mission is a very personal decision and usually only is decided upon after feeling personal conviction and heavenly guidance. It a long time for me to serve. While girls can now go at 19 I will be 21 when I serve. But I know that besides my simple desire to share what I know to be true with others. I know that giving these 18 months in the Lords service will better prepare me to be a wife and mother and bring me closer to my God. Show more Show less

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Church meeting houses are built for members of the church to have a place to gather and learn more about being disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to learn more about Gods plan for us and keeping His commandments. It is a place to be safe and feel supported with other members of our faith. We meet once a week on the Sabbath to recommit ourselves to Christ and be spiritually strengthened so that throughout the week we can be better people and continue to live and act as God would have us to. Temples are Sacred houses of Worship, where we go to make eternal covenants with God. It is His house and as such we are invited to enter after we have proven ourselves worthy of being in His presence. It is a beautiful place with sacred significance. And it is worth every effort and sacrifice to be able to attend. Show more Show less
