Hi I'm Anita

I was born in Canada, now I am raising my own little family in sunny California.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of three school-age kids. I grew up in Canada, graduated from BYU, got married, and moved to California. I do love California, but I miss my family immensely...and the seasons:) I love reading, writing, working out, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. In my mind, there is nothing better than a good conversation with great people. I treasure the people I've known and the memories I've had. I love watching my kids grow, develop and experience life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I did have to go through the process of deciding for myself if it was true. I remember reading an account of Joseph Smith's first vision and just believing him...believing what he said was true. The older I get, the more I realize how important that belief was. That belief gave me the faith I needed to continuing living the gospel and slowly, step by step realizing that it was true. Living the gospel makes my life happier, gives me hope, and reminds me that this life has meaning and purpose.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving. I have served with the primary children (18months-12yrs), the young women (12-18yrs), as well as the Relief Society (adult women). I have spent many hours preparing lessons or planning activities that have built my faith in the process of attempting to strengthen those around me. Although I have had many callings at church that take up a lot of my time, I think the most important way I live my faith is through teaching my children. It is my hope that they will love the gospel, because I have loved it. That they will gain their own testimony and relationship with their father in heaven because they have seen me do it and have learned how from the things I have taught them.
