Hi I'm Spencer

I'm Spencer! I enjoy the Traveling and Being with my Family, and I'm proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I'm the oldest out of six boys. I lived in a small farming town in northern Utah where family's and faith are the central to the community. I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy Traveling and being in the great outdoors! I have a recently graduated from High School. I'm Currently Serving a Mission in the Maryland Baltimore Mission!! I have loved serving my mission so much, it has brought me closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ while helping others come closer to him!

Why I am a Mormon

I Love the peace that comes from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ! It gives me a since of purpose and direction in my life. It makes the trials of life easier to deal with(It does not take away the trials, just makes it easier)....A few years ago my Great-Grandma passed away, who i was really close to. It was sad to see her pass away, but having the knowledge of Gospel of Jesus Christ, I Know that because we were sealed as a family in the temple for time and all eternity we can be with her again! I know that Families can be together forever, and I'm so grateful for this! It gives me such a felling of Security know that my current and feature family, will always be together! I have had the privilege to grow up with the gospel in my life. I have come to know for my self that Jesus is the Christ, he lives and died for each one of us. Through him [Jesus Christ] We can return to live with the father again. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and testifies more of Christ. I know Joseph Smith saw god the father and the son. I know families can be together forever. I know President Monson is our prophet here on the earth today. I have taken the time to pray to our loving Heavenly Father to know if these things are true and I have come to know for my self that they are TRUE! Knowing these things with all my heart is why i am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm a Mormon! I know it! I Live It! I love It!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full time missionary, this is how i can show I Know It! I live It! I Love It! I participated actively in a quorum (Before I Left for my mission), by inviting members to come to weekly week night activities, and worship services on Sunday. I also have helped plan the youth weekly night activities in my ward. As a full time missionary I have the sacred privilege to "share the gospel with all the world" To all those who will hear my word. I feel it a blessing to be able to share what I know and love to be true, with my brothers and sisters who do not know, and have the same happiness I do from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I loving being an instrument in the lords hands to bring his children unto him. He knows each and everyone of them and whats what is best for them. I have the privilege as a missionary to help him do that! Its a blessing to be able to partially repay my savior for all he as done for me, i do this by serving a mission. I Love It! I Live It! I Love It!!! The Gospel Is GREAT!

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Spencer
We Believe that every individual who has come to earth must be baptized by someone who holds the proper authority of god in order to receive salvation in the kingdom of god. We realize that many people have passed away without having the opportunity or desire to be baptized while living on the earth. Our Heavenly Father has set up away that every person can have the opportunity to be baptized. We do this through baptisms for the dead in our temples around the world. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Spencer
No, Not all members of the church are required to serve a mission. A mission is a voluntary, and unpaid service. I personally feel it is a privilege to serve. Young Men are highly encouraged to serve for two years being at age 18, after having graduated from high school. Young Women are also encouraged to serve at age 19 for 18 months. Senior couples are welcome to serve when they are able. Show more Show less
