Hi I'm Becca Brimley

I love spending time with my family. I have a passion for playing mallet percussion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Many titles can describe me and my interests. Since I was five, I’ve enjoyed being a musician—I love to play the piano and percussion, especially the marimba! I am also a university student, and even though university is a demanding challenge, I love learning. I am a baker—okay, I don’t really deserve that title, but I do love to bake. :-) I very much enjoy playing all of these roles, but my favorite roles to play are in my family. I am a daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, aunt, niece, and fiancé. More than anything, I love to spend time with my family. We do many activities that help us build strong relationships together. For example, each year we go camping in the summer. We also enjoy canoeing, hiking, playing softball, frisbee, and racquetball, and attending concerts. I love to be with my family, and I treasure my relationship with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Heavenly Father and want to serve Him. I know that because I am a daughter of God, my potential is endless—I can become something great. God sees in me the ability to help His other children, and He knows best how I can do that. The purpose of God’s church is to bless His children, and by being a member of His church I have that chance to help others in the way Heavenly Father knows I can. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church of God. I am a Mormon because this is how I can achieve my potential to help Heavenly Father’s children.

How I live my faith

To me, faith in Jesus Christ means that I am able to change. The Savior can help me leave my unfavorable characteristics behind and improve my strengths in order to become the person I want to be. I live my faith by praying to recognize opportunities to improve so I can consciously choose to be better. Faith in Jesus Christ also means that I can live happily with my family in this life and even after this life. I live my faith by trying to build stronger relationships with my family members so that we CAN enjoy happiness together now and forever. I also love to find ways to help other people, and I am grateful Heavenly Father can show me how to help His children. One of my favorite ways to serve is simply by smiling and waving; it is such an easy way to brighten someone’s day, and most often the smile is returned. :) Enjoying and sharing spiritual music is another way I live my faith. I know that God often communicates His love through sacred music, and I love using music to share my faith in Jesus Christ.
