Hi I'm Ben

I survived public high school. I play the drums. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in the Mexico, Querétaro mission. Before the mission, I just finished up my first year of college at BYU where I will be studying computer engineering. I thoroughly enjoy music; I play the drums and can play the piano. I enjoy playing nearly any sport, I even played on an intramural flag football team while i was at school and i regularly play basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

At first I always felt I was a Mormon simply because I was born into the church. However, this is not the case. As I've grown older and learned more about the gospel and life I have realized how important it is to be in the church. Being born into the church has actually been kind of difficult. You lack the knowledge of how it feels to not have the spirit in your life, making it harder to realize when you are feeling it and when you aren't. I am a Mormon because I believe it is the true church of God. I can recognize and feel his presence in my life when i do what is right and live by his principles.

How I live my faith

I live my faith to the fullest by serving a mission for the church. Before that, however, I live my faith by bringing up the gospel and my plan to serve a mission with many who ask about my future plans. They're often surprised by my choice to serve but I feel as if it is good for people to hear about a missionary's willingness to serve.
