Hi I'm Mason

I grew up in the small town of Burley Idaho where I lived a simple good life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Throughout my whole life I have always enjoyed traveling to new places and being with family and friends. Summer is my favorite season where I play much golf, and go boating with many friends. I recently graduated from high school and am about to embark on a two year mission for the church. After which I will return to go to college.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I have always knew the church was true from feeling the spirit. As I grew older and into my teens I was faced with many hardships (then again who hasn't?) that made me very bitter and I became very lazy and arrogant which took a toll on my faith. I knew it was true but I didn't want to dedicate myself to it for fear of being let down. Something inside of didn't want to let go though, no matter how hard I tried I could never throw it all away. So I decided to get back on track and try again to see what would happen by reading the scriptures and praying. I soon came to realize that being a part of this church was completely opposite from being a let down. Every prayer was heard, and to my astonishment I saw them being answered one by one and those who I had prayed for were being blessed. I understand now why my Father in Heaven requires so much of me, and that is to refine me and to make it so I can better every single day. I know that mysteriously and miraculously I am never alone. Prayer works and I know that the atonement of Jesus Christ can do more that just cleanse, but it can help change the very being of who we are and help leave behind our darkness so that we can move on and have light.

How I live my faith

I always set an example for the future youth in our ward. Whether it had to deal with giving inspiring talks or to just talking with them personally as a friend to help them with whatever they needed in their lives. Not just the youth, but everyone around me. Because I have come across some issues in my life, I have moved me to empathize with others so that they might have a better understanding. I choose to stand as an idea. An idea of accomplishing anything and obtaining true happiness with inward strength coupled with gospel truth.
