Hi I'm Ivan Brooks

I'm Puerto Rican. Raised in Good Ol' Utah Valley. I love baseball & Pandas. I enjoy Ping Pong & Cafe Rio. And yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well. I am Puerto Rican. Not Mexican. I enjoy Cafe Rio. I put Dimples in my Ties. I'm a Missionary out in St. Louis Missouri. My life has been filled with Adventures. My Family and Friends are the biggest lights in my life. The Gospel changed my life, It's helped me find happiness, even in the darkest of times. I'm 20 and I am always about sports. I played baseball all my life and I'm a life long Texas Rangers fan. I find joy in playing Ping Pong. I'm the biggest Harry Potter Nerd you could ever meet. I am terrible at cooking. I plan on attending the University of Utah to become a Pediatrician and get married like Mormons do. Yup.. That's me.

Why I am a Mormon

Dare to be a Mormon, Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a purpose firm, Dare to make it known. This is the motto I've lived by ever since I found my testimony. My family didn't go to church all that often. And I found myself taking Seminary and not necessarly knowing why. In seminary every story was different for me, and I would find myself falling in love with the stories of the Book of Mormon, and I desired to know if it was true. I knelt in prayer for the space of two weeks. And with all my might I cried unto my lord, and I was reading Enos and realized that I was strangely just like Enos, and I read that through mighty prayer the lord granted Enos his desires because of his faith. At that moment, the greatest feeling of infinite comfort filled my heart and I cried and was so overwhelmed. I knew that this church was true. And I changed my life completely after that. And here I am. Serving a mission for my Heavenly Father to preach to the people in Missouri of the truth of the gospel. I know my savior loves me, and I know that this is where I need to be. In the sacred name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.

How I live my faith

I can't imagine how my life would be without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The standards and blessings that come from living the gospel, truly have helped me find my true happiness. I was so grateful to go and serve a mission at the age of 18. I'm currently serving a LDS Mission in the Missouri St. Louis Mission. SEE YA IN 2.
